I have a .22 mag that is a pretty darn good shooter, it's a 445 American.

Would kind of like to get a .22LR barrel for it.. At the moment Euro Optic is out of stock. Any other vendors out there that might carry these or maybe even an upgrade?

I did see that and should have mentioned it.. The fact that the CZ barrels have been nitrided kinda spooks me. I've never tried to cut a nitrided barrel for threads or simply to chop it off. Was around a number of CZ 9mm pistol barrels though, don't try to throat them with a HS reamer !! Need carbide. So my guess with the .22 is that it is good from the get go or a turd offering no remedial action. This just a guess.

Timely thread, I just got on the list for a 20" Suppressor Ready for my 457.

I’m in the same boat. I have a CZ 457 American chambered in 22 Mag and would like a reasonably priced 22 lr barrel for shooting suppressed. A 20” barrel is longer than I’d like.

Has anyone had experience cutting and threading one of these or other nitrided barrels at 16.5”?

I'm just the opposite. I'd like to find a 22WMR barrel for my 455 (and that doesn't cost as much as the gun did)

Called Eurooptics today and asked about the timeline for backordering a barrel. The rep declined to hazard a guess, but I went ahead and backordered the barrel I want. Had to pay up front, naturally.

I've seen several on Rim Fire Central. The 457 barrel will fit the 455 and vice versa.

I got a 457 American 22lr I was going to part out. I have a message into another guy on RF Central right now for the stock. Waiting on a response from him.

a factory threaded 16" brl, like on a 457 "Royal" should be your huckleberry...

Ran into some barrels on GB today, including the one I want. Cancelled my EO backorder and grabbed one.

Barrel arrived today, a surprise because they never sent the promised shipping and tracking info.

Strange as it's listed as a shotgun barrel.. Probably the reason there are 11 of them left.

I searched “CZ barrel” under Gun Parts. Looking under Rifle Barrels yields different results. There were 19 available when I ran into them. Glad I looked; I paid somewhat less than what EuroOptic was charging, and didn’t have to wait.

Got it installed yesterday and plan on shooting it a bit today.
