I started removing my garden fence, done with a garden. Finished a timer-motor box for son in law. Some of you all have jobs. That is an accomplishment to get up and go every day. At the end of each day I ask myself “ What did I accomplish today?” Sometimes just fooling around in my shop doing nothing. Sometimes its taking Wifey out dancing, spending time with grandkids. I always asked myself that at the end of each day at work. It was very easy to do nothing when you have a maintenance job. I tried to give them a days work.

I will need to reroute the waterline when Im through, capped it for now. Thats plumbing work, damn

Paid my bills, brought my dog to the vet for a checkup, bought a PSA bare AR lower receiver and, using a lower parts kit (absent trigger group) also from PSA, assembled a lower to match the old S&W upper that's been sitting in my safe for about eight years.

I already had a spare trigger assembly and buffer tube assembly, plus old collapsible stock and sights.

I cut some downed trees into firewood I will never burn, piled the brush and lit the piles on fire. I spent the rest of the afternoon drinking beer and watching the brush piles burn down.

I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

I repaired some wiring on an equipment trailer. I have 3 trailers and one of them is always needing some repair to a wiring issue.

Eight plus hours in the shop today.
Changed out the head on a 1939 Gibson MasterTone banjo, new strings, etc.
Did setups, (new strings, action adjustments, fret level and recrowns) on 2 acoustic guitars.
Bent a set of mahogany sides for a guitar that I have under construction.
That's about it..

Cranked up the Iseki tx1500f garden tractor and tilled the garden. Wanted to mix the Woodstove ash and rabbit manure in before the rain tomorrow.

Killed and processed 15 coturnix quail.

I stopped pissing around with wiring and just buy the magnetic towing lights. Zip-tie them on and replace as needed. Never have a grounding issue. And those towing lights only cost about $35 here.

AFA what i did today, just regular work, but had a bi-monthly meeting with my boss today and they’re proposing an insane solution to a 1 in 5000 problem that is not even within our control. Their solution would almost triple my workload in that area.

This could be the one that pushes me to retirement.

I got a bag of pellets out of the PU and into the stove. That's all for today.

My wife can turn the stove on all by herself.

I was warned, but I am here anyway.

Stayed awake most of the night, so I got a late start.

Painted the walls in my son’s house, living room, dining room, foyer and kitchen,

Left the rollers full of paint and wrapped them up. He came by and didn’t like the colors, so we went and picked out new.

Came home and washed the 18” rollers, three brushes and three mini-rollers.

Tomorrow I get to do it all over again. It’s pretty simple as it’s a complete remodel, no base, no casing, or cabinets.

Spent 4 hrs in the MiL hoarders den. Put a fair dent in it, I was alone. Alone I can trash some chit quick.

Returned home only to spend another 2 hrs filling out paperwork for the ALF.

Dishes, load of laundry, dog park, read the news, installed battery shut off switch on the work truck that I don't drive enough to keep the battery charged, started sorting papers for my taxes that I am now pissed about having to pay. Corrupt MFers.

Cocktail hours begin.

This is my 'vacation' time. Not calving or farming yet, too muddy to do much other than feed the 400hd of various cattle remaining.

Start early to beat the mud. Last 3 days my old man and I are done by 11-12. Usually it's 2-3PM depending on the weather.
