Both Arianespace and SpaceX have rescheduled their respective launches for today, AND there’s another unmanned craft expected to try a landing on the moon. First up will be the delayed Ariane 6 launch from French Guiana. Carrying an earth observation satellite for the French military, liftoff is set for 11:34 a.m. Eastern. Webcast will begin 30 minutes prior here: https://www.arianespace.com/road-to-space/ Next will be the lunar landing attempt. Yes, another one. This one is by Intuitive Machines, whose previous mission landed too fast, broke a leg and toppled over. This one includes several upgrades to try preventing another landing oopsie. It carries not just one but three small rovers and a bouncing drone to explore regions around the landing site. It will be carried live on YouTube, starting about noon Eastern. Touchdown about 30 minutes later. More details here: https://www.spacedaily.com/afp/250306011911.wnz2mvjy.html To cap off the day’s excitement, SpaceX will again try to launch their Starship and Super Heavy Booster from Texas. Liftoff set for 5:30 p.m. Central time. Full description here: https://www.spacex.com/launches/mission/?missionId=starship-flight-8

Good launch so far. Their video is nowhere near as good as SpaceX's. Next up, the moon landing attempt. Official NASA broadcast HERE

Sounds like a good time but I forgot how to turn on the TV. Kind of. Will get on my "new" computer. Thanks Rocky. Rz.

That was a nail-biter. They seem to be landed, but they're working through radio losses and other issues.

Update on the IM-2 lander.
They got back a picture that shows the lander toppled over onto its side (the same as the first one did). Unable to get sunlight to its solar panel, it ran out of battery power and the mission has been declared over.
Investigation into the Starship loss is beginning. Indications point to an engine failure and subsequent loss of steering control.
