Load data (even max loads) in the popular manuals is so weak in my rifle's chamber and it shows on the chronograph. I used Quick Load to help develop loads in the 56.5-58K psi range and it turned out way better than when I was using the data from the usual suspects.
IMR 4320 was a top 7 Mouser performer in my old Lyman #45 manual... wish i'd bought some when it was still available...

I don't know what a "quick load" calculation would say but 50.0 grains of H414 and a 145 Speer Grad Slam out of a Ruger #1 RSI is a deer stomper. It's pretty warm, but that's where it gets under an inch at 100 yards.

2850 average the only time I've ever checked it. It's definitely not for older weak actions and not one I'd recommend for anyone else to use.

I'm going to recheck it when my new Athlon chrono gets here in April and see what that says.

That sounds about right. I'm getting 2880 with 49.0 gr. W760 which is basically the same powder as H414. Extracction is a bit sticky on 100+ degree days at the range so I cut back enough to get 2800 FPS. Rifle is a Winchester M70 XTR Featherweight that is dead nuts accurate.

I've done some playing around with RL17 and the 150 gr. Nosler Partition using 7-08 Rem. data with some very good results and 2847 FPS. No signs of high pressure at all. The 7x57 case holds more powder than the 7-08 and the M70 FWT s a modern rifle chambered to higher pressure cartridges.
