All that food is simply LECKER! The first time I had Christmas with my wife, she invited me to her parents home in Schwabia (bis Stuttgart).

I've made it a couple of times with venison roasts. Honestly there are better ways to cook meat than the way the Germans do in my opinion.

Whatever wabi's doctor did to fix his spelling, punctuation, and grammar, we all should have it.

My grand.other used to cook for the German booth at the Milwaukee Folk Festival, they served an awesome sauerbraten, she made apple sized dumpling and the sweet/sour red cabbage.

I still make rouladen, dumplings and red cabbage for special occasions. Creamy sauerkraut made with grated potato, browned bacon and carraway seed goes well with most German meat dishes.
