I seen a similar scene under the pier of the port of Sacramento…I’d caught some nice crappie under it and figured night fishing might be pretty spectacular, so I loaded up my canoe and headed out…it was so infested with rats, I didn’t even wet my line…

Makes me think of the days of old that I have read about where you could go to the dump and shoot rats.

A friend and I did that back in high school at the old elevator, except we held a flashlight and shot our RWS 34's until we were tired! Workers must not have realized they had a rat problem until they started seeing dead rats the next morning. They put out rat poison and the rats disappeared after that, sure ruined our fun, but we did get in three or four nights of good shooting!
