Anybody have a solid recommendation or experience for a gunsmith having your old rimfire barrel reclined?

I’ve got an old Marlin 20-A with an absolute sewer pipe. To be honest I could live with the reduction in accuracy but the chamber is bad as well and causes extraction issues..

Geneco gun works in Stockton
Ken should be able to do it. He is usually pretty backed up but does good work

I have done many re line lots of 22rf and a few
Win in 25-20
It’s really not a hard job with the
Right tools. Make sure the smith has a lathe
Som guys do it with a hand drill with some success
But a lathe makes the bore out Perfict.
Good luck

Wayne York at oregunsmithingllc.com does it, as well as re-bores. He has Ackley’s old rifling machine.

I've lined a couple, no big deal but I do have a lathe. Never "relined" one though since they were all original bores never having been lined before.

You reline the original bore, as far as I can tell. The rifling is damaged or whatever, so you fit an insert/reline the bore.

You line it when you wear out the original bore. You reline it when you shoot out the latest liner.

In fairness, the OP asked about "reclined" experience, not "relined".

You may be right. However, ''relining'' seems to be in common use.
