Mine is a little over 25yo and still works fine although the night sights have lost their glow. Don’t think the front sight can be re-lamped.

I chose the CZ 75 . Handled several before deciding . The only other that felt so good in my hand was an FN. Found out
they were made using the CZ75 platform .Did my research and then went and handled some guns . That was one
of my best decisions. Having them in your hand can make all the difference .

For me, CZ75 and its clones hands down. The ergos are just about perfect. Super easy to work on and make accurate. Lots of aftermarket support. Had all the major players at one time or another and the 75 is an easy win for me.

Probably the best made 9mm out there, and not appreciated for all its engineering, the HK P7 is quite the pistol. It is compact in size and function with a 4.13 inch barrel that doesn’t stick forward of your hand as far as some other 2 inch barrels would.

The barrel is fixed in the frame and it is incredibly accurate. It is as safe to carry one in the chamber, as there is no firing pin loaded with spring tension until the gun is cocked with the grip. At the time you squeeze the grip it is cocked and ready to fire, letting go of the grip returns the gun safe again.

Low center of fire keeps the gun easier to be fired with less muzzle lift. A truly amazing gun, not appreciated much, scarce and expensive, but well worth owning…

Beretta M-92F. For a full size 9mm, it just works for me.

As a couple of others have said I've moved on from metal pistols. I'd rather have a Glock, Sig or Smith M&P. The Beretta is a fine pistol and if issued one I'd carry it in confidence. But if It's my money I like the Sig 226 better if I had to carry a metal pistol. If it's just a range gun BHP or a clone.

Had an old Senior Chief in my squadron who ran the night shift. He would say "after work let's all get drunk and BE somebody!" Or he would say something like "Dammy, that's one hot mama walkin' down the hallway!"

I hadn't even thought "dammy" at all since 1980. But dammy, you show this parade of fine pistols over a period of time and the word just comes bubblin' up to the surface!
