I owned a Benchmade Altitude and I really liked the blade design but not the handle. Then I tried a Hogue Extrak and really like the handle but not the blade. So I asked Clint if he could make me a Magnacut lightweight knife with blade similar to the Altitude and handle similar to the Extrak but with some skeletization like an Argali Carbon knife. This is what he made for me. The handle is thin but deep enough for good control and has excellent grip. Iโm very happy with it and will use it for my backpack hunts. https://imgur.com/a/Ba7dMFR

Thatโs a cool one. I like the jimping on the spine in those 2 different places. I like the Kydex sheath too.
Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

I looked at the knives you mentioned, and it seems you got a pretty good fusion of their elements. Good on ya! Best of luck in your mountain hunts.

Saw that when he posted it on IG.
Looks handy.
I like the extrak. Thin blade. Thin handle.
I liked it until it dug into my knuckle.. ๐๐

Yes he did a great job getting the features I asked for. I liked the handle on the Extrak but this is even better than Iโd hoped. It has really good grip and feel with the way he textured the G10.

I liked it until it dug into my knuckle.. ๐๐ Unfortunately pain and our own blood can change how we feel about tools ha ha. I used an Extrak to get a goat ready for packing last year and there was something awkward about the blade design for me. I canโt explain what it was but I just knew I liked working with the Benchmade Altitude blade more.

That is a nice knife. I have an Argali that is similar but maybe a little smaller .
