I guess they go in pairs. My Marlin Model 60 buffer just went a couple of weeks ago. I was shooting my Browning Buckmark, 1998 vintage. Buffer looked perfectly fine last time I cleaned it. Took it out to my club's range night before last. Got through a magazine full. Then click. Manually cycled a new round in, click. I took the top strap off and pulled the slide. The buffer had broken apart and small pieces were down around the hammer pin making for a soft strike. Jeez. Naturally, Browning changed the buffer design around 2000 and they don't sell the old ones anymore. Again, off to ebay for an aftermarket 3D printed buffer. I ordered a handfull of them. I shoot that pistol a lot so I'll have a good supply.
If you have a Buckmark and haven't changed the buffer out in a long time, give it a check.

What material did they use for those 3d printed ones? we have a small 3d printer at work, may try to make a few when I have time.
Several years ago I was living right one day and stopped in pawn shop and they had a 2nd year buckmark still in the box with a matching browning basket weave holster with tags on it. Got them both for 200 out the door.

They list it as "Nylon." I haven't gotten them yet, but they look like the same material that my aftermarket 3D-printed Marlin Model 60 buffers are made out of. My Model 60 buffers are just hard, black plastic. Here's the ones I ordered. https://www.ebay.com/itm/333953119569I did find a "file" for a 3d printed buffer that says to make them out of "ABS or Flex Arnitel material. The Arnitel version produces a significantly better result." https://www.stlfinder.com/model/browning-buckmark-buffer-e1hYr8V5/3976513/

https://www.ebay.com/itm/333953119569Two thumbs up. The only thing I had to do was take a small drill bit and open the small hole up a bit more so the end of the recoil spring guide rod would fit a wee bit deeper. Otherwise, it fit perfectly. The material is just described as "nylon" and feels like Glock frame plastic. It definitely feels more durable than the original bufffer, which felt like ti was made from the same material as the rubber-like grips.

I usually buy from them. The only ones they had in stock when I checked were for the post-2000 pistols. There are some subtle difference between them and the pre-2000 buffers.
