So I just placed an order for one from Cabelas. They said 90-120 days. I thought these were in the pipeline already? Has anyone received theirs?

I was a huge Taffin fan. Not really a Ruger SA fan, they always just seem extra big and heavy. Great for pushing reloading limits, but I don't need 44mags cranking at 1400fps. Gosh darn-it, these are good looking pistols and that 4 5/8" with the 45 colt cylinder could be really fun. What barrel length did you get?

Had I not already built something very similar to the Taffin version, I might have picked one up. My own version is also a Flattop .45 Convertible. Though I replaced the stainless grip frame with an aluminum GF, and had a Bisley hammer added. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/pZuixNDh.jpg) The cylinders were throated properly. The ACP chambers were throated so as to accept rounds that normally would chamber in an auto pistol, but typically will not seat in a Ruger cylinder. Couple other things were done, but that really is main deal. It is an outstanding little gun and by far my favorite single action. Great balance, and with the 270 grain Keith SWCs in .45 Colt, it is one that I would be quite comfortable in hunting pretty much anything in NA with. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/Eru4bfFh.jpg) The Lipsey's versions are very much like getting a gun that has been to a custom gunsmith and had a bunch of features added, but at a fraction of the price.

Plenty of issues with these PPP revolvers as well as grip fitment. Do some research on the Single Action forum. Only way I would buy one is to see it in the case and hold it in my hand prior to forking over any cash.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Maybe they have been delayed because of this

Ruger 77's have a guy beating on them with hammers to straighten them when the come out of the molds.
