My son eats, sleeps, and dreams about bass fishing. He blanked last weekend at his first youth tournament but he keeps practicing and improving. Last winter we cut down a couple of short dead trees and heaved them out onto the ice. Come thaw a few days later and they sunk to the bottom of the pond creating habitat. It seems to have paid off. He's catching these bass in those trees now.

Sometime getting a goose egg fuels the fire. Good to see he's keeping at it. Last weekend he fished two more youth tournaments at Lake Monroe. He placed 4th and 2nd. He's qualified for state now.
