Curiosity got the best of me and I got one a while back. It's surprisingly nice for a 10 knife.
It's been getting abused on my workbench doing whatever I wouldn't use a good knife for.

Been using one for months at work. Honestly can't say anything bad about it. It's no 200 dollar knife but it's a lot closer to a 60 dollar knife than 10 bucks.

Agree, it definitely outkicks its price point.

I'd agree with the above. If it didn't say ozark trail and was part of some knife companies "work line" nobody would think a thing of it being a 50 or 75 dollar knife

It's a good knife that has gotten a lot of attention on you-tube and in the knife forums. So much so that Walmart has only recently been able to keep them in stock.
It's close, but not an exact Benchmade clone. If you do a side-by-side comparison the blade and handles are slightly different.
This is an almost exact copy and for my uses I like the steel better. D2 is a lot harder to sharpen It's double what the Walmart knife costs, but still $21.
I can't get the link to work. Go to Amazon and search Benchmade Bugout. The clone will show up down the page.

Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

If it didn't say Ozark trail I would grab one in a second as a beater blade. But the amount of shame felt if anyone ever saw me using one would not be worth the savings.

I have a matching bugout. Finishes are better, its also about 1/2 the weight, but for 1/10 the price, pretty decent deal.

Chinese heat treating is all over the place. From no heat treat at all to way way too hard, obviously brittle. They don’t understand the purpose of tempering following heat treat. Caveat emptor.

Yep.
I'd hope nobody expects spyderco or benchmade quality. For a 10 dollar beater they are exceptional though. World's better than the 5 buck barlows by the cash register at the hardware store.

They are the rage on social media and I stopped to look at one. Too large for my taste so I left it there. You rarely see them in stock now.
Other than that, How was the show Mrs. Lincoln?

Didn't know they were a social media thing.
If you've ever carried a 2nd knife for someone else who doesn't have a knife and then will proceed to use it as a pry bar, a screwdriver, a brush cutter, wire cutter, etc. this is about the perfect knife.

Nope, never carried one for someone else to use. If they don't have their own, they learn real quick to get one....

I won't hand my knife to someone else. I'll ask what they need to cut and then I will do it myself. If they want to pry or scrape or screwdriver or whatever, I won't do it.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

The other person can get their own knife.
