During the late 70's, I took a parasitology course in college. In lab, we performed a necropcy on a midsized opossum. When we opened its stomach up, there was a softball sized wad of round worms in it looked just like that PD. All of us were pretty grossed out as they were trying to make the ball tighter.

Was with a guy about ten years ago who shot a really big black bear with his bow. Made the belly cut and it the bear was solid worms like that, not in the guts but every micro inch of the cavity was solid masses of moving worms.
Took picture then poured it over with kerosene and lit it up.
Good shooting Wasp… get you quite a few did you?

I caught an Amber Jack about a decade ago that had a huge ball of worms in it just like that! Wild!

Many years ago I thought I’d build a rifle specifically to see how “badly” I could explode Pdogs. I ended up with a 6 ackley imp shooting 55bts at a chronographed 4292 fps… my dad, brother and I pulled into a town and as we unloaded the benches I noticed three full grown dogs on a mound maybe 100 yards away. I quickly got the Ackley out and on the bags. The three full grown dogs lined up side by side by side nearly perpendicular to us. I fired and it looked like they had been laying on a stick of dynamite! Pieces flew 20’ in the air and several yards in all directions! Too bad it takes 50grs of powder to get there but it sure was fun!
