My new MacBook Pro is giving me a headache trying to post pics with a new thread so I'll put these here while I try to get it done on the For Sale Forum......
I've combined 2 houses (finally down to one!) and included equipment so thinning out the ones that are duplicates, just taking up room in the safes or will likely not get used again.
While I sort out the posting and pic issues, a PM with your contact info for an e mail or text will allow me to send pics to those interested.
1. Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle .308 (left Hand). I have installed the XS extended sight rail so you can use a normal scope with it. Includes the original Scout Scope rail and rear sight. Has all the stock spacers installed and includes 3 Ruger branded magazines (2 - 5 Round and 1 - 10 round).
The rifle has less than 75 rounds through it and is perfect condition with no nicks, scratches, etc on it at all.
Asking $900.00 plus shipping to lower 48.
2. Tikka T1x 17 HMR Left Hand. Includes 5 magazines and extra grip piece to modify the grip angle to your preferred way. Also have the unused Tikka sling hardware and owners manual.
Picked this one up for a prairie dog shoot 2 years ago and put about 200 rounds through it. It is the 20" barrel that's threaded 1/2x28. I added the Mountain Tactical adjustable cheek piece to it do it's a lot more comfortable to line up on he bench. Gun is in like new condition.
Asking $500.00 plus shipping to lower 48.
3. SPF. Tikka T3x CTR .223 left hand. 20" barrel with 1/8 twist and threaded 5/8x24. Bought this for the same prairie dog shoot and worked extremely well and accurate with most everything I put through it. About 150 rounds.
This one has 3 magazines (Bought 2 extra for $110 each (yuck). But, they work well...... Also has the grip adapter to change grip angle, unused Tikka sling hardware and a Mountain Tactical 20 MOA pic rail (not used or mounted.) Another lightly used and like new condition rifle for sale.
Asking $995.00 plus shipping to lower 48.
Must ship to your FFL and they must take from private party with ID included. If I have to ship from my FFL shipping gets stupid expensive.
PM with questions and requests for pics. I'll be working on that until I don't have any hair to pull out left.

Bore size is no substitute for shot placement and Power is no substitute for bullet performance. 458WIN

Bump for a good seller who always has good stuff. I know all these rifles and they are all as advertised.
Am sitting at the ER. I don't really want to get into the details but the "Dyson ball cleaner" is a very misleading product name.

Thanks, I would be more interested in the stainless model with the longer barrel: https://www.ruger.com/products/scoutRifle/specSheets/6821.htmlGLWS, they look like they could be a fun rifle.

It’s a good platform to rebarrel to a SS at whatever length you desire. Also for Ak. An easy .338 Federal or .358 Win. I have a similar gun in .308 and love it. Personally I would rebore or change to .338 Federal. Lots of common available bullets. With a 10 round magazine, you have some serious power on tap.

I been asking around trying to find out the barrel diameter of the 18 inch model near the muzzle to see if there is enough meat for a .358 rebore.

Not only the barrel near the muzzle, also how deep are the sight holes drilled. The Rem 760 and 7600 sight holes are deep and prevent rebore above 358 caliber, I have been told by others with more knowledge than me.

I just measured my Scout for you. It is 18” with muzzle break. 16 1/4” without. Threaded diameter .636”. There’s a gap between the threading and the barrel .166”. The diameter of the muzzle thickness at the threading tip is .178”. There’s a front sight ring that encompasses the barrel right after the muzzle break. With font sight band the diameter is .848”. Without the band it is .736” The barrel contour has a step up in diameter prior to the front band. I hope this helps. If you are considering a rebore. JES has surly done a bunch and worth talking to.

It does have a scope rail mounted to the barrel. If I decide to do this project in a year or so might just be easier to rebarrel. Sure would look better. Sorry for hijacking the for sale thread Free bumps to the top anyhow!
