Any recommendations for a gunsmith to rechamber my Weatherby LTW from 280 to 280AI ? I'm in Texas, so near DFW would be a plus.

If it were me, I'd probably call Shilen and see if they would do it for you, they have the reamer...
AND, they are in Ennis.....
They might not do it, but I'd ask....

Just got done gunning a Custom 280AI minutes and never don't not wish it were a 280 SALAMI. Hint.

Like Mallard mentioned it will have to be set back, a bit of a pain if equipped with irons. I have three .280's and two .280 AI's . You will gain about a 125 FPS with the AI. Only you can decide if it is worth it. At least at present AI cases and ammo seem more readily available than .280 at least with my sources.

They are simply birds of a feather and that tends to hurt Tender Feelers. Hint.
The case capacity "difference",isn't enough to even begin to make a fhuqk in .284". Doubly so,with GOOD bullets. Hint.
I'll greedily take the static and boringly fhuqking reliable SALAMI version's behavior,as Virgins behave like cases on their last legs,regarding performance. Going SALAMI saves Fool Fhuqkery,as there isn't anything remotely worth a fhuqk,as 280AI brass or ammo goes. You can take the lonnngggggg way and rest assured I do and drive Lapooey Virgin '06 PHSFS's. Then on the second pass,DOPE changes and that doesn't interest me any. Hint.
