Osky Love mine. They are horrible for climbing or side hilling. Would rather wear my hokas.

There's a great review on the on rokslide.com too. Certainly the boys over there can recommend some coordinating camo sock too.

You have to try them on. Lowa tibet works for me despite it not for a lot of people. I have buddies who have different brands that work for them that I can't wear. No one size fits all with boots.
You aren't going to get a good boot for under 3 bills. You may have thought you’re found the perfect boot, Until you try it on, Fit is everything.

I run Crispi's. I have wide feet and they fit me the best. That's what matters.

I have a pair of Meindl that are uninsulated with Goretex. They were sold at Cabela’s, and are 10” high. I’ve worn them pronghorn hunting and to South Africa twice.
I also have a pair of Lowa Z8S which are uninsulated and have Goretex. Worn to South Africa once and to conventions.
Both are comfortable.

As some others said “fit” is the #1 criteria. Try many and pick what’s best for you. I did that and landed on Crispi Colorado GTX.

I haven't tried the others. I love my Kennetrek Mountain Extremes. I can't imagine a boot being much better. I've put a ton of mountain miles on them. I just bought my second pair.

I wear wide.
So far the crispi summit 2 are working well. Fit great.
Ive got the Hanwag tatra ( i think ). They dont fit as well. Even with green superfeet. Also tried scarpa’s. No go on those as well. My feet dont like em.

Problem around here is finding many of these in stock at a store and being able to try multiple makes and styles on all at once.

I bought my first pair of Schnees. Best feeling boots I have ever had on my feet.

I’ve pretty much got it down to two pairs of hunting boots these days. Year round here in SC I wear my Redwing snake boots. The foot works perfectly for me, full length lace up for stability, and all day comfort. When I go back up north or out to MO to hunt in November I wear my Schnees with the liners if it’s much under freezing. If it’s not, I can just as well my snake boots.

I have a pair of Crispi Summit GTX's, incredibly comfortable, appear well made. Have not used them super hard, but they are holding up well.

Buying boots is a royal PITA for me because no one store has multiple brands to try on. I need a somewhat wide toe box and it seems most boot manufacturers today think grown men have the toe box width of an eight year old. Had a pair of Crispi Dakotas and tried to make them work. Two hunts in, I knew they were trouble. Big toenail turned black after a day of up and downhill hunting. Thought I had sized them correct, but guessing online obviously failed!

Kenetrek mountain extrems for almost everthing. would use them for everything if I had to. I have tried them all and these have been the best. I love my extra tuffs for just everyday stuff and they are perfect if you don't need support.

Sierra Trading Post has a lot of German made Lowas blowing out for $109 now. I picked up some Ranger III a few weeks ago and really like them. Size selection getting limited now though.
I really like my Crispi Guides. But they’re more boot then I need most of the time.
