First two years out of college I was a science teacher at Ayshire, IA. Brad - I've not shot a bull in an easy place; like, the bottom of that canyon. It's a beautiful pic but I almost feel sore looking at it . 458 Lott - nothing quite like a clear sky sundown over the north country - very nice.

Late last night coming home from the arena, I was wishing I had a camera with me, and kicking myself for not having one. The sunset was absolutely stunning as the sun shone through the gap between the mountains and the cloud edge. The interplay of colors, texture, silhouette, and cloud was enough to make a soon-to-be 13 yo boy ooohh and aaahh. However, the cloud layers did not allow the evening light to bathe the peaks before the foreground was in shadows. Another night perhaps. I went to a spot that had a tree and water hole to catch a reflection, but alas the hole contained no water, so "settled" for the silhouette of the tree. Afterwards, I drove to a point to camp for the evening. THe late evening sky still contained some nice color well after the sun settled below the horizon. And so the sun cast its blessing on another trip to southern Arizona. Doug~RR Doug's Photo Gallery

I took a road trip down to CA last summer and got a few decent shots. Of course these compressed versions are far less spectacular than the full res versions.
