I have a substantial collection of these knives-was wondering if their are any fans here.

These are all 52100B cyro treated carbon steel made when Mike Stewart of now Bark River knives was at the helm at Marble Arms.

I have a bunch. I got into them and it was addicting. I have a lot with buffalo horn and crown stag. They are good knives. I see they go for more then I paid now.

I bought a bunch when they first came out too. Some with old blades that had been sitting in the factory for decades. One with a blade circa 1939. All very nice knives.

Passport-just under 100 knives-WOW!!

I am currently sitting at 63 Marble Arms, most all in the bobcat boxes. I also have the catalogs from 1998-2000 showing knives produced (1999 was hard to locate)

There are only a handful of models I don't have at least one of.
(not including knives made for Bowie Corp) or rehandled old blades found in the factory.

My collection is missing;

Hunter-with stag handle (have micarta/aluminum and leather/aluminum)

Sportsmans-64,65,67
Loveless trail knife
Sport 2001
Special hunting knife
Mini special hunting knife
Trailmaker 10'
Mini Fieldcraft
San Fransisco Dagger
Natchez Bowie(if it was ever really produced)

If anybody has any of these models for sale please let me know.

I have some rare birds in my collection also;

Custom small Bison buffalo/aluminum

Expert 3-double guard,micarta/aluminum-same as expert 2 but with double guard and smaller pommel.

Vintage 2 woodcraft-impalla jigged buffalo/aluminum

Mini Woodcraft-impalla jigged buffalo/aluminum

Mini Trailmaker-L/S/L,aluminum

Mini Expert-impalla jigged buffalo/aluminum

Mini drop point-micarta carver

Mini Plainsman-curly maple/aluminum

Ducks unlimited-micarta carver, unique blade (like hunter blade
but different)

Dakota arms drop point-walnut carver.

Moran-L/S/L /aluminum (morans ar hard to find)

Woods&Water drop points both the cocobolo carver and the bone/aluminum handles.

Also a 7 inch stag carver bowie made in 2000 for Bowie corp (buffalo horn washers and cap on stag cap) one of 50.

Sounds nice Timberbuck, do you do any of the old stuff? I had about a 60% new and 40% old mix.

Ever seen one of these?

Its a Pant Pending Wodcraft, made in 1904 or 05, made before Marbles had the paten on them, real rare.......

I have a Lovelass Tralimaker in stag/stag if that is what you mean but Lovelass trail knife I would sell. I never heard of a mini Fieldcraft but do have a mini Woodcraft I would part with if you need it.

I will see what else I have, I really need more rifles........

Well they need me, is a better way to put it. smile

Holy smokes! I thought I was a nut for having seven or eight Marbles knives. I'm a paragon of psychological stability compared to you two. smile

At first I thought the big one was a Trailmaker, but it's not. Looks like a huge Woodcraft. What the heck is it?

Is the Northwoods Big Game Skinner a Marbles offering, or a Northwoods offering? I can't find it as a Marbles offering anywhere.

Never heard of a Northwoods offering. Would there be a mark on it depending on who made it?

It came in the yellow box with a bobcat on it, tang is marked Marbles and the sheath is marked marbles as well.

Then it's a Marbles. Just never heard of it, and cannot find it. Could you, perhaps, post a link to where one could buy one? I've had no luck. Thanks.

The northwoods big game skinner was made by marble arms from 2000-2001 and is shown in the 2000 catalog. It was dropped alnong with many other patterns after the management change in 2002/03 (same time period that Mike Stewart left and the blade steel change).

Just FYI- the current knives by Marbles Outdoors made from 2002 on are not of the same quality as the 1997-2001/02 period.

However, Dave at Northwoods knives did acquire some left over blade blanks and did put out a few of the Northwoods big game skinners hemself. This was years ago.

Passport, are you saying you have a Loveless trail knife for sale? TO awnser your question, I do not collect the older Marbles knives just the 1997-2002 models.

All of mine were made in the time period. Are they no longer making them from carbon steel?

I just happen to have one of those big game skinner blades (original steel) that never made it to the Marbles factory----just waiting to be assembled.
I also have one I assembled with Oosic handle in a double sheath with a matching caper. I carriec them to AK, but never used them.
