Shoot fire, Nebraska!

You've got a dang suppressor on it. You could have fired it right there just before you took the picture! smile

How about some details. Did you buy the gun already suppressed, or?

How long did it take to get the Class III stuff processed?

Thanks,

Paul

That's a great looking Ruger with sight and light. I need one like that to coonhunt with at night. No noise, etc. easy to carry, accurate. I've got a bull barrel Ruger 22/45, that would be great to set up like yours.

I'd highly recommend this unit!!

I had the pistol (Ruger Mark II) and added a Tactical Solutions "Pac-Lite" 4 1/2" threaded barrel with top/bottom rails (dealer was Paul Zint in KY). I also added Hogue grips, a Streamlight TLR-1 (great light for the $$), and an Ultra-Dot L/T red-dot sight(ok for the $$). If I were doing it again, I'd probably just skip the red-dot and install a Streamlight TLR-2 light/laser and call it good.

Here's a link for the Spectre to you can see the details..... SWR Spectre

The CIII processing took 7 1/2 weeks which is about average considering the volume. FWIW - our local sheriff signs off on these with zero hassle but even if you don't have a LEO in your area that will sign off, you can still pick one up by purchasing it through a Trust.

Great looking can, the fit is just amazing. 7 1/2 weeks is pretty much standard, it might increase with the upcoming election and yes, the trust is a great way to go on these.

Can you elaborate a little on the "Trust".

Thanks,

So you'ld skip the top mounted red-dot in favor of a TLR-2? I can understand that, i've got two TLR-2's, one is on a G21 & one is on a G30. I can understand you liking the TLR-2, great light/laser combo.

How balanced is the Ruger, is it overly nose heavy with both the suppressor and the light?

I wonder if the red-dot scope, added any weight to the rear to balance it better? Thanks for the info. as i've stated i've got a Ruger 22/45, that would be a good candidate for a suppressor.

I pulled up Tactical Solutions, they look like great barrels. I couldn't tell, do they come with the lower mount on the barrel, for the light/laser or was this an additional add on?

Very Nice looking.

About a dozen years ago, I built this one and put a rail on it.

It is a Gemtech VortexII with Crimson Trace laser grips.

I'd be curious on that as well. Those Crimson Trace grips would sure make for a lot handier set-up. There was even a guy on another forum that made holsters to accomodate suppressed pistols but he didn't have one to work with a light or red-dot so I'm outta luck there.....at least for now.

It is consistantly minute of Jackrabbit at 50 yards ( night hunting)with no problem. If you have a good rest, 75 yards, I believe would not be an issue for a well practiced shooter.
