I'm in love! I bought a pound of H322 a while back based on some QuickLoad data and tried it, of all things, in a 30-06 behind 110 grain V-Max's. A rifle that never shot much better than an inch and a quarter consistantly suddenly shot everything into half inch with the V-max's. Too bad I can't find a big game bullet that'd work behind it.
So I tried it with my new .223 and it hasn't let me down yet. Not only does it give me better accuracy with each of the several bullets I've tried (vs. H335 which came highly recommended), but the stuff meters with excellent consistency out of my rockchucker powder measure and I NEVER have static problems with it like I do with EVERY other powder I've tried.
DAMN! I like that stuff! Think I'll start sprinkling it on my wheaties

The Benchrest Boys love it!
It's what I use in my 223 w/ 40gr V-Max bullets. It's the real deal...

MS, H322 is "the" powder in the 6mmPPC.It has won and set a ton of benchrest records. I usually used a version of it called Thunderbird T322 that I bought years ago from Walt Berger. I have to admit that Ive never heard of anyone usuing it in 06 ,buy hay sounds like its working. My thought would be thats its a little fast for the o6. If your really interested I think I have like 7 lbs of GI H322 still laying around. Ever think of trying 4895 or 3031 in the 06.? Just as a side note.I did some low speed bullet tests last summer with a 30-06 with a very old can of SR4759. Do you know if this powder is still out there ? dave
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

MY "wonder powder" is RE12--problem is they quit making it. Apparently not too many people tried it. Meters well burns clean. Made my factory BLR .308 lightning a MOA shooter with just a 1-3 scope on it. It shows up with excellent accuracy in Ken Waters "pet loads" book for '06 too. I think "fast for caliber" powders are often very very accurate but overlooked because they don't "eak out" that extra 100-200 fps that everyone THINKS they need!!!!

Yeah, my .222 loves the stuff. I would never have thought of trying it in an 06 case or sprinkling it on my Wheaties though.

Rx 12 is also my wonder powder. It makes my Savage 99s in 300 think they are 12lb. match rifles.I bought 10 lbs. of the stuff here. http://www.wideners.com/
If you really like something, you better buy two!

Yes, you can get SR 4759. My understanding is it was taken off the market for awhile but was brought back. I bought a 5lb can of it on clearance for $20 a couple of years back.

Muley Stalker,
H322 rocks! I started using it in a .375JDJ back in "86", and like you, found out it works great in my .223. It also works very good in my .35 Whelen with 225gr. XLC's.

i was pulling my hair out trying to work w/ a 223... couldn't get it to come together. either velocity sucked, or groups sucked, or both sucked. finally, on a whim i bought a pound of h322... wow... now that 223 is definitely a keeper.
but for powders that really sing, i have had amazing luck w/ varget in any caliber it is appropriate in (esp. 308).

If you like 322, try Ramshot X-Terminator. All the benefits of 322 plus it burn cleaner and is much more stable.
I've converted all of my 322 and 335 loads to X-term and Tac.

Yeah,I've had a powder sing to me. It didn't of course sing to me,it hit me on the side of my head for being so stupid. Of course it took 25 years of trying to squeeze max velocity out of every thing I reloaded for and searching for the smallest groups, the perfect brass, and primer.4895,the most honest and forgiving powder you will use in any cartridge a sensible man will shoot from 223 to 30-06.

Not glamorous, not fancy, but IMR4350 has worked for me in .243, .303, 30-06, 7mmRem, 300 Win Mag, and even in 300 Savage. Very uniform and consistent results in all of the above. Also really like H414 in all above except the 303 Brit.
