Firefox tweaks I did them and it most definitely does seem faster. I make no warranties - but perhaps out IT people here can help. Thought I would throw this out there...

I used to have a specific forum that always took a good amount of time to load - no so anymore. Digging the tweaks.
ETA: Les - you will love this: I randomly selected a certain thread that is picture intensive - loads pages full of pictures at a speed I never saw before - MUCH faster.

the tweaks will speed up Firefox but they won't help the speed at which a website uploads to the web. Some sites are just slow.

My FF is already pretty quick, does it get just a little quicker with these tweaks, or smoking fast? Seems like a lot of tinkering, I wonder if there is a downside?

Does it only speed up FF or IE also? Screen said any changes would void my warranty. Warranty is already out dated so I went ahead and changed the stuff.
So Les, you think it might help speed up my netbook, or is that a problem from the wireless?

Did it and if I have a lot of tabs open makes a big difference.
I have broadband and am very quick normally anyway but I do see some improvement.
Thanks for the link to the info.

My FF was pretty darn good as well, but it is much faster with the tweaks. I really don't see a downside. If you mess something up just re-install FF. Mike

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but when it says you may have to create a new integer or string, how do you know which to use when?
