I just ordered a Ka-bar Bob Dozier Folding Hunter knife (KB4062). Has anyone bought/used one of these affordable knives?

I have a 4064. Carry it daily and use it for hunting.
I really like it. Holds an edge well, can gut, skin, bone and cut up a deer without sharpening.

I got an e-mail from the Blade Shop where I ordered the Dozier 4062. They are currently out of stock but more are expected within a week or two. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

A G Russell sells them for $21.95, if you get tired of waiting.
I think you'll like it a lot.

Yeah, I probably should have gone with AG to start with. I'm gonna give the Blade Shop a while longer on this one. Thanks for the info.

I do too. Best pocket knife I have found. Sharp, thin, light and sturdy.

But shipping is another $9. I am thinking about ordering a backup/gift.

I do wish mine would show up. I think I'm going to see what the Blade Shop says about a ship date.

I ordered three of the kaBar mini doziers from A.G. Russell. I wish I'd ordered a couple more at the same time for gifts. I got one with the orange handle to carry. I like a fairly flat non-bulky knife and when I got it I removed the pocket clip and the thumb stud. It opens quite easily without the stud and it lies so flat in the pocket I don't know it's there. And if I drop it in the weeds it will be easy to spot.

I got a pink one and gave it to my daughter and also got a black one for a spare. Those little knives are a very good value. I haven't tried one in the larger size - - - - yet.
