Picked up a SIG P238 in town a few days back and put 100 rounds of Blaser RN ammo through it yesterday, bottom line: this gun rocks!

1. Very little muzzle jump or recoil; the sights were right back on target, mine has SIG's night sights and they are a three dot setup that is very easy to use.

2. The controls are all logically laid out and easy to reach with one hand; my hands fit the gun well, I can get two fingers firmly around the grip. The grip is too short for my Dad's hands, however, as he can only fit on finger around the grip.

3. The combination of the relieved area behind the trigger guard and the semi-beavertail grip really helps to lock your hand into the grip. I shoot isoceles stance, thumbs forward, and had no problems.

4. Disassembly is far easier than any other small automatic I own, breaks down just like my CZ 75.

5. The gun, fresh out of the box, digested all 100 rounds without a hitch.

Downsides:

1. SIG cheaped out and only included one mag! mad

2. I should have brought more ammo.

Here's some pics:

First six rounds. The gun, like all little guns, is grip sensitive so it took a bit for me to get used to.

Forty-four rounds later. Could do better, a few more trips to the range and the fliers will hopefully disappear. Just have to remember to keep a firm, consistent grip. (Ignore the birdshot and shotgun wad holes, my Dad was trying out his short barrelled Ithaca 37 on an adjacent target: cylinder choke is very, very wide)

One happy SIG: 100 rounds later.

That done, it was time to break out the real guns! My Smith 66 no dash finished out the afternoon laugh

That Sig's a nice little piece of ordinance.
I'd like one.

Sig was shipping with only 1 magazine, according to them due to demand for mags. They are now back to shipping with 2 magazines as of fairly recently.

The 238's that showed up today came with two mags. A Stainless slide and a nitron slide, both with night sights.
