At first I thought this was a joke or a rumor.. According to Shopes, it's TRUE: President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service to REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a new commemorative 42 Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp.. snopes.com: Muslim EID Stamp Does a U.S. postage stamp commemorate two Islamic holidays? ...Stamping Grounds Claim: President Obama has directed the issuance of a U.S. postage stamp commemorating Islamic holidays. TRUE: A U.S. postage... ...be supprised that A Muslim Communist OBAM would direct the Post Office to do this??? Remember Obama has referred to MY Muslim Religion several times,... ...USPS New 42-Cent Stamp!!! Celebrates Muslim holiday. If there is only ONE thing you forward today.... let it be this! Redneck,
You gotta be pullin' our chain. The Post Office doesn't put Christian symbols on stamps to my knowledge, why would they make a Muslim stamp?

It's to honor two MUSLIM holidays, not ours...
So far, they're sayin' it's true..
I put nothing past the LIC..
I'm also going to ask the people here at the USPS if they've heard anything on this.. I'll reply when I find more info..

I see where they were going to introduce one in 2001 but that got axed after 9/11.
I did a search and a Nashiville Newspaper is reporting that the Mayor of Clarksville, TN. is asking people to boycott the USPS, so it seems like there is something to it.
Unbelieveable.
Maybe the next one will celebrate the Nazi Night of the Long Knives...

Actually the Eid stamps pre-existed the Obama Administration. The were first issued in 2001. http://www.usps.com/communications/newsroom/2007stamps/During the last administration President Bush also made annual official statements to the American Muslim community for Eid and Ramadan. The Bush White House also promoted the stamp. http://web.archive.org/web/20071215160912/http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/ramadan/eidstamp.html PARTIALLY TRUE.

I've seen the Eid stamps before and seen them on letters but I don't remember when it was.

Muslim stamp. No fly over for God and Country, He is on the UN now, in the classroom now. Next will be a call to lay down your arms and pick up the koran.

Before anyone completely blows a gasket, there is at least one stamp every year that is intended to "honor" some minority. Last years was Chinese "Year of the Rat", the year before "Black Heritage, Ella Fitzgerald" and this one for muzzies is not the first for them. There is also a Christmas stamp with some variation of "Madonna and child", as well as one about something that is considered "seasonal" (last years Nutcrackers, year before Holiday Knits).

JM. Yes they do. This one is still on their website from last Christmas.

Yup, the Eid one has been around for about 8 years. Personally, I like this one:
