Hi list... I'm starting out this year new to hunting squirrel as another outdoors activity and would like information on what i should expect. Is there any place in minnesota that anyone on the list would suggest?

Larry,

Although I'm not a squirrel hunter myself, a guy can hardly shoot a grouse in the SE bluff country without a squirrel getting killed by accident. There's plenty of public land, lots of oak stands, and plenty of grey and decent numbers of fox squirrels.

In a couple weeks grouse will be open and pheasant will be open mid-October. If the squirrel hunting gets slow there's still plenty to do (bowhunting anyone?). I've hunted the Whitewater area a ton, so if you're headed that way I can give you some specifics.

Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense.
