What do you fellas think about this automatic. Interested in plinking and maybe CCW so reliability is paramount.
Thank you.

my cousin had one that was not picky and functioned well until it got to dry. i had a walther a number of years ago that was REALLY picky on the fmj plinkin ammo; shot most hp ammo pretty reliably though. never could figure that thing out so i got rid of it. maybee the bersa's just sloppy enough to function better?

let me give you boys a lil' tip. you might wanna turn off that engine 'fore you go and change that there fan belt!

I carried one for awhile...not a bad firearm at all. Much better than the Walther in that it doesn't "bite" the web of your hand as easily! Walther's are notorious for "bites" if you are not paying attention.

Never had a FTF with mine, but sold it to a co-worker when I was leaning another direction.

I think the Bersa pistols are of good quality, and good value.

I have an older Bersa Model 86, 'Undercover' (made before the "Thunder" designation).

I like it a lot. When I bought it I considered it my carry piece ... Now I find it a little bit large and heavy compared to to some other handguns I have acquired- which are more suitable for 'carry'.

The Bersa "Thunder" .380 is a simple blow-back action pistol, that some consider as a Walther PPK clone, (but one that doesn't jam).

The Bersa "Thunder 9", 9MM, is also considered to be a Walther clone. A Walther P-88C, and has a Browning style locked breech action.

I have the Walther P-88C pistol, they are hard to come by and expensive. The in-expensive Bersa Thunder 9 version, is of a great design, and is a well built, dependable, and accurate pistol.

If you like Bersa's, check out the Thunder 9 model, I think it is superior to the Thunder .380 ... and is an un-recognized "Sleeper" out there.

It's starting to ease in a little. At least in Asheboro.

My wife has a Bersa 380. Had one failure to feed, but the shooter (not my wife) was a little limp wristed at the time.

Other than that it shoots everything, including my reloads wink.

I had to put a taller blade in the back sight cause it was shooting too low but once I did that, it was good.

Very reliable.

Sarting to see some around here every once in a while now, but they usually have a limit on how much you can buy. Scored 4 boxes of American Eagle at Scheel's yesterday.

Think it was Bogey Quinn over at Gunblast.com that said this was the only gun they got nothing but positive comments on from their readership.
At one time It is what I planned to use when I got my catty permit. Have never taken the class to get the permit, so it is a moot point.
