I just picked up three pounds of Hunter yesterday with my .270 in mind. I primarily shoot the following:
140-gr. InterLock 150-gr. InterLock (round and spire) 150-gr. Sierra roundnoses
I'd love to hear about any experiences with this powder in the .270.
Also, the Ramshot load guide is pretty slim on data. I haven't picked up any of the new manuals lately from the bullet companies...are they including Ramshot data, yet? Anyone have pet loads for any of the bullets listed above using Hunter?
Thanks, Scott

Factory data looks quite broad. Looks like a solid choice.

Hunter seems to work really well in the .270. I have had really good luck with it with both 130s and 140s. In fact, one of my .270s' best load involved Hunter and a 130 Hornady. Great velocity and excellent accuracy. Nosler's latest manual has some loads for it also.

Thanks; appreciate the responses and the info on the Nosler manual. Good to see it's not being ignored altogether by the bullet folks.
Has Hornady included Ramshot in their latest manual, too???

My favorite powder in the 270 has been RL 22, but Hunter is really challenging it for me. The little I've worked with it, it has been excellent. I need to shoot some more with it, but here's a few I've had so far: 130 Partition w/ 57.5 grns, ave velocity 3024 fps 130 Hornady SP w/ 57.0 grns (I didn't chrony but the IB's gave me about 3100 fps) I'd like to shoot a couple 5+ round groups to see how consistent it is but so far has been great. These were shot out of two different stock Rem 700's. And the Hornady doesn't have Ramshot in their new manual, but the Nosler and I think Barnes do.

My favorite powder in the 270 has been RL 22... Same here, and I've been very satisfied, but the Ramshot line was two bucks cheaper at the store. Hunter will actually be the "quickest" powder I've ever used for this cartridge. I was thinking about playing with IMR 7828 or H1000, but for some reason went the other way.

As little as I've worked with it, it had been great and is a solid #2 choice and may become #1, who knows. When I first bought it, I'd never heard of it but at $13 a #, I figured what that heck.
I forgot to add, I did shoot the 150 Hornadys and worked up to about 56.0 grns but IIRC, that seemed to be a little warmer then I wanted so I want to back down and shoot some more. That charge gave me about about a 1.5-2" group with the first 3 inside an inch, the other two out and an average of 2870 fps.

Muledeer seems to be a big fan of the Ramshot line. seems like a pretty consistent theme from folks who have tried their powder. It is on my list of stuff to trial when I next need powder. I have trialed 7828 & H1000 extensively in my 270's, accuracy & uniformity (SD) were great, but velocities were WAY below my expectations and published numbers. Just not enough case. About impossible to beat powders with burning rates between 4350 & 4831 in a 270.
Imagine your grave on a windy winter night. You've been dead for 70 years. It's been 50 since a visitor last paused at your tombstone..... Now explain why you're in a pissy mood today.

I don't have a .270 any more. Hunter sure works well in my '06 under 180s, though. Also, the newest Lyman manual has some Ramshot data. Not every powder for every cartridge, of course, but there's a good sprinkling of Ramshot's powders in it.
