Glassing for elk couple years ago in the Gallatin National Forest.. 2.5 hour hike, much off-trail, saw one elk, a small 6X6. Swaro - Kraut for Tasco.

Pic taken in summer of 2004...the bull on the left I killed opening day of rifle....found his sheds from the year before. The bull on the right I found one shed from him...he was killed in 2005 and grossed 385 with a final score of 376 B&C.

Some out of Colorado over the last couple of years.

All I have on my work computer. A little bit of New Mexico.

This one is a poor quality photo... low light and from a cell phone cam! This was the last bull killed this season... a freaky guy with perfect 8 points on one side but something of a 'rat's nest' on the other. LOL

GH and SS, great shots as usual.

You guys are sure masters in the elk hunting and photography departments, even if ya'll do leave some air in the ziploc bags.... : )

Yes it is. We saw some cows and that was about it. Found all kinds of sign but couldn't connect on a bull.

My elk all come off the mountain in meat bags. At least in quarters. It just too far back into where we hunt.

Hunted the Castles a lot through the late 80's and early 90's. Both North and South castle basins. Great country.

The Castles are a beautiful place to hunt. Our next hunt there will involve mules for sure.

Sorry for the 'fuzziness' of these vidcaps, but these are from an amateur video filmed (by guide/outfitter) during archery season on the musselshell lease, here in Montana. The actual vid is much clearer. Anyway... I thought some of you may want a look at this big old boy... gotta go over 400".
