OMCBA, NKC, PKC registered 9 week old natural bobtailed male Mt. Cur pup, brindle w/white trim. The sire is Hardwood Lake Jake, a super grand squirrel champ and a nite champ 3 ways. He's also a proven reproducer of squirrel & coon dogs. The dam is Dixie, a good combination squirrel/coon dog. Mountain curs are great hunters and family pets.

How big should the pup get? 30 pounds?

The pup will probably weigh between 35 and 45 lbs. when grown. The dam weighs 35, & males generally run a little bigger than females.

I've been looking for a Black mouth cur pup, I just found an image of your pup, he is a cute little fellow.

Thanks. I took my friend Seth, his 6 yr old son Braidon, and his 10 yr old nephew Cole hunting with the dam for a couple of hrs this morning. We did fair. Dixie made 8 trees, and those boys shot 5 squirrels. They had a blast, and Seth called me while ago and said that's all Cole and Braidon have talked about since they left my house. It was great to see the smiles on their faces while we were in the woods.
I'm keeping the only 2 females out of this litter, but this male pup should make someone a fine hunting dog...
