This is a 7x8 my friend and coworker shot this bow season in the Snake River unit of NE Oregon. What will he score?

Very nice bull. 380? more? I really would not care I would be happy to have him on my wall. Cape?
Looks like a great hunt.

No cape, Whizbangdaddy. Shot down in a steep canyon and in august during the bow hunt. So to get it to the freezer he just cut it up as quickly as he could and packed it out of the hole. He is going to do a euro mount right now and maybe later do a full head mount. 58gscott

What a neat, wonderful, huge rack! The extra points would count against in some scoring systems. My guess is 400 gross unless your friend is very short. I hope the bull fathered many calves during his life.

Wow! That's a truly awesome Oregon bull. Good for him. I would have sweated my nuts off getting the cape out.

Mark If it was my bull you were sweating your nuts off carrying out, I would have surely handed you a hankie and a cold one.

I wasn't there to help him with this one, I had already left to be back to work. Interestingly this was not the biggest bull of the three spotted. Growler was bigger than this one. Another friend was on this same bull the night before and just could not close the deal. He kicks himself for not going in the next morning after him, instead of breaking camp with the others. It will be interesting to see what it gross scores! 58gscott

The Official score is in! The bull makes BC and State records book. The Gross score is 393 3/8, the Non Typical score is 382 6/8 and the Typical score is 373 7/8. A four year interval between books, as it shows now he will be the #2 Nontypical Rocky Mtn Archery Bull in Oregon records. Very nice! 58gscott

Awesome character, bonus 3rd on the right and a funky kicker on the left, sweet bull.
Wanted: Vintage Remington or Winchester hats, patches, shirts. PM me if you have something.
