Sorry-- just rambling. Anybody know anybody that does anything with Savage in South Fl.? The gun shows here are lucky to even have a gun chambered in a Savage caliber. Nobody knows nadda. I might have to put on the miles and see a Savage-Fest!

I'm in Key West (winters) but leave all my 99s in Wyoming as there is no shooting from here to Miami. (I do keep some guns here, more suited to dealing with the mobs from your hometown when the food wars start)

I WILL retire elsewhere. Get the heck out of this hell hole. I do love the fishing, but the hunting is getting tough in the Glades, actually the fishing is going that way also.

You can hunt them, but with harpoon or bowfishing tackle. I've killed a bunch thru the years, even got fined for killing a female on a male only hunt! Guess I could dr. a photo and put a 99 in there.

You would think as many Yankees end up down here, that they would bring some with them!

Lucked up last week and found an 1895 at a pawn shop in Jacksonville. It's a carbine in pretty good shape. I only have one other 99, but was thrilled to find this one.

Yep, only a fool of a Yankee would traffic guns to the Confederacy!

Sure there are SAVAGE 99's in Florida, Just no one wants to sell them. As for Hunting, your correct, there is no where to go except on Lease Land or Wildlife Management areas. But we do have a lot of Ranges here to play at.

Yes, but once I've achieved accuracy I want to use that rifle to shoot deer not targets. I'd rather hunt than F***. After 52 years in Miami I'm ready to get out, and back around normal Americans that want to be Americans. I might have to cross the Mason-Dixon line!

After 57 years of cold weather, I'm ready to head to Florida. Trade you places?! The heck with deer, I'll be just as happy sporting around with scantily clad women on sunny beaches!
