Well, enough snow had melted that I was able to go to the range and fire my new SBH for the first time yesterday. First, I went by the hardware store and with the help of two bored guys there was able to find an allen screw that actually fit and enabled me to secure the Hogue grip to the saddle (that I had to make a homemade pin for).
The grip works really well. A perfect fit for my hand, and it allows the revolver to roll. The wood is smooth, and does not bite my palm at all.
Funny thing is, I think it looks too big for the frame and I kind of like the way the Pachmayer looks better, although I can sure see how shooting a bunch of hot loads would leave you with some skin burn. Am I the only one that likes the way the Pachmayer looks?
