Hi All, how do these two scopes compare with each other? I haven't personally seen a Weaver V 2.5X7. Thanks!

I have a couple of the Weaver RV7 2.5-7x28 scopes and like them, but they aren't Leupold VX2s. The 2.5-7x28 Weavers are, to my eyes, about like the Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32s.

I have both. No flies on the weaver but the leupold is the better scope.

I've had both and like both. I rate the Weaver higher than the Prostaff (got one of those to). The Leupold is better but I don't think its twice as good as the Weaver.

I have the Leupold, and like it. But still like the 3x9's better. The eye box is a bit small on the VX-II 2x7. I used the 2x7 on the Grizzly in my avatar, and wished I had used one of my 3x9's. Sight aquisition wasn't as good as I would have liked. Especially when he came my way after the first shot. Good optics for the money though.
