My Kimber84 Montana in 7mm/08 likes Hornady 139gr SST Light Mag rounds. Best three shot group was .735" at 100yds. I know that is not what one would call a tack driver, but that combination has performed well on game for me. I have not tried Hornady's new Superformance as I have a couple boxes of Light Mags left.

Roger that.
My kid shoots the 140gr Fusions out of his M/70 SS & they have been deadly accurate from up close blacktails to 500 + yard antelope.
Try 'em you'll like 'em.

My Browning 1885 Low Wall .260 absolutely loves the Remington 120 gr Accutip load, usually sticking 3 in one hole, hardly ever over 1/2". I typically am not a fan of polymer tip bullets but I don't reckon I can top that so I'll stick with them. The old Remington 154 gr Extended Range 7mm-08 shoots very well in my model 70 but unfortunately they don't make that load anymore.

Gotta love the Beautiful BROWNING Low Walls, my former 243 shot like yours.

Good to hear the reports by all. Thanks.

I tried 139 grain sst's and the regular 139 grain Hornady soft points in a Weatherby's vanguard S2 Sporter and in a Savage axis 7mm08's with much less than spectacular results. The Savage shoots em better than the weatherby, but still 1 1/2" group is the best I've got with them. Thinking about switching to seirra bullets? I would try Speer if you could find them anywhere. I hate paying $30 for a box of bullets.

Rem 725 with take-off 700 .260 bbl here. It only likes 140's. Corelokts best, but not by much. But hell, I can live with MOA.... smile

As others have said, Federal 7mm-08 in both the Fusion 140 gr and Nosler Partition 140 gr have shot extremely well in both my Browning X-Bolt with 1-9.5" twist and T/C Compass with 1-9" twist. I found that Hornady American Whitetail with the 139 gr Interlock shot even better in both rifles. Also, the Hornady 150 gr ELD-X shot very well in both rifles.

Nothing like resurrecting an eight and a half year old post.

I’ll bet the OP has found a load by now.

My M70 7mm-08 shoots the Federal and Winchester 140 grain ballistic tips really well. It shoots the 140 grain trophy bonded tip into 3/4" groups almost to the same poi of the Federal ballistic tips. It despises every other factory load I've tried in it.

My custom 260 Rem likes the 120 gr VOR-TX, as well.

Curious on 140 ABs in Nosler and Fed loads, as well as various 260 loads like 120 TSX/Fed load, and 130 AB in Nosler.

Thanks again.

Federal 120 x shoots great in my m 7 260, as do the 120 fusions....

My 7-08 Montana likes the 120 Fusions and the 140 Nosler Custom Accubonds for factory. I've put Fusions through deer lengthwise.
