Hello all, I am looking for some good loads to start working up for a 25/06!
Curious if anyone has used 110 grain accubonds and what the success has been?

Been running 49 grains of IMR4350 with 115 Combined Technologies. Extremely good on up to bull elk so far. Thinking it would work well for the 110 accubonds but have so many 115s stocked up that I won't run my accubonds in that one.

The accubonds are holding .5 moa in my 257 Roy though and will get run this fall on some stuff.

100gr Nosler BT's and H4831SC.

I'd stick with the 100's.

Somewhere around 49gr of IMR4350 has been a sweet spot for several 25/06's using 117gr/120gr bullets for me.

I have been having good luck with RL 17 and 100 grain BT's. I am going to try some 100 grain partitions in the morning and see how that goes.

I've had great luck with 51 grains of IMR 4350 behind a 100 grain Nosler BT.

I'm using the 100g Speer BTSP and the 100g Hornady flat base with a max load (for my rifle) of R#19, Win brass, and Win primers, 1 1/2" at 300 yards. Velocity is 3400 fps+ with extreme accuracy. Deer's legs fly out from under them when hit with this load.

51.5g of IMR 4350 shoots half inch groups in my 700, but velocity is way down compared to the R#19 load.

My rifle has a critical seating depth that it likes.

Keith-how has the 100 Speer BT held together? Ever found any in deer or have they always sailed on thru?

Reason I ask is the 85 Speer BT is a bullet I'd love to try in my 6/06 but to date never have.

Thx

IMR4350 and H4350 give me 3150fps and 1/2-3/4" groups out of my ruger m77 heavy barrel. IMR4831 gives about 3200fps with 3/4-1" groups.

53gr of IMR4350 gives me 3300+ fps out of my Tikka using 100gr bullets. I typically use the 100gr MK for targets and vermin, and 100gr TTSX for hunting.

Still haven't tried ant 100 grainers yet, but my usual load is;
50.5-51.0 H-4831sc, 120gr Hornady, W-W cases and Fed 210 primers.
MV is 2925-2950 fps with superb accuracy. Rifle is a Ruger MK2, 24" barrel. Tom

Various 100 grain bullets over 46 grains of IMR4064 has worked well in several rifles. This came from an old Speer manual, and shows to be over max in newer books. Neveer seen any pressure signs, and get fine accuracy.

55 grains IMR 4831 and 100 grain Hornady.

52 grains IMR 4350 and 100 grain Speer HP.

Practice/fun load: 44 grains IMR 4895 and any 75 grain HP.
This last load is a lot quieter than full power loads and is
great for off season shooting.

I haave loaded a110 Accubonds with 7828 to around 3160. Have only seen it used on two animals; antelope at 300yd-DRT and complete passthru and mule deer at 120 quartering toward shooter-hit far back in ribs and exited in front of off side hip. Good expansion and must be tough to penetrate like that, and they are also accurate!

Oh, BTW. I've loaded 50gr of IMR4350 using the 110gr AB out of the same Tikka to get a hair over 3100fps. Seems to work OK. wink
