Shooting 200gr Matchkings in a 30/06 I finally switched back to 4350. The 4831SC, although it gave great velocities (about 2780fps) just didn't perform as well at the target. 4350 worked best down around 2720 and group size was about 1/2 what the rifle would do with the 4831. This year I won't be using th 06 because I just found the recoil to be excessive in a riflewhich was too light (about 12.5 pounds.). After 60 shots or so prone it really started to wear on me so this year it's back to the 6.5 and 6BR.GD

Lefty, we had some snoe earlier this winter, just patches now, until you get up around 7000 feet or so. I'm east of Helena about 25 miles.

Thanks for the tips guys. I got out a few days ago and tossed some more downrange at 350 yards. I put 10 into 3.3". I figured I pulled 3 shots a little high. The rest went into a group 1.25" vertically, and 2.2" horizontally. I think this load's full potential is yet to be seen. Operator being the weakest link.
