Pretty sure its a 50's model. The bottom metal is steel (tell by the plunger). Looks like a 4000 series lightweight model, as they had a front sight but were not drilled and tapped for a rear sight, just two holes on the receiver for an peep sight.
Gotta agree on the stock. Never seen one like that on a 50's Husky. Probably a aftermarket.
Nice rifle. Had one in -06 that shot quite well, but was a bit noisy with the 20.5" tube.

Yep... I have one in 7X57 AKL, and it shoots a ragged hole. The stock looks pretty Fajen or Bishop, however.

Definitely not a factory stock that I've ever seen. But that's a 98 three-lug bolt. Sell? Nope, not me twere mine. Even if the thing doesn't shoot, the action is a "real" action and would be a fine base for a custom barrel.
