Sarah is trying to take down a young caribou, and before TLC cut to commercial, shed put 4 shots somewherebesides the caribou.

Wife watches that show. Palin took a bunch of shots with her dad's rifle. Scope was out of adjustment, luckily she didn't blow a leg off the caribou.

Looked like a pretty beat-up, early post-64 Model 70.

Killing isn't always pretty in real life. Sounds like she got it sorted out.

Amen brother. I've had a few goat roping experiences but they ended well.

Yeah, who knows.

Looked pretty lame either way. Her old dad shoulda at least sighted the rifle in before going on a TV hunt.

A couple of renowned old-time gun writers loved to play this trick on Elmer

After he'd sighted-in his rifle, one would take him aside and keep him distracted while the other messed-up his 'scope.

Then they hooted and jeered when he didn't hit anything with his first shot.

"Good enough" isn't.

Probably a Kimber with a Simmons.

The Mayans had it right. If youre going to predict the future, its best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.

Luckily the back up savage had one of those cool butt stock ammo carriers. The harmonics of the extra wieght from the extra bullets made all the difference.
