Can anyone look up a gun value for me?
It a H & R 939 , exactly like this one:

Finish is 99% Wood is 100% barrel bright as new.

Just look on GunBroker for the same gun. Go through them and look at all the ones that have actual bids on them. That should give you a pretty good idea. I almost always check there before I estimate a price for somebody. I won't estimate a price unless I've got a figure in my head already, but I like to check with GunBroker anyway since things change so fast nowadays. Run-of-the-mill 939 in excellent condition...I'm thinking $400 without looking at GunBroker.

Around here (SE Pennsylvania), I'd expect to pick one up for $225-250, less if it was worn or out of time. They aren't very popular and are hard to sell once you own one.

- .22 S, L, or LR cal., 9 shot, 6 in. flat sided bull barrel, swing out cylinder, vent rib, adj. sights, blue finish, solid frame, DA, square butt. Mfg. 1957-1972.

In 1962, the hammer mounted cylinder release button was discontinued. A key lock for safety was added in 1962, and discontinued in 1972. This model was H&R's second most expensive revolver.
