My bad. I missed the "bubberized" part. Looks like one of Jedd's "presentation" .303 Takedowns.

Don't look like an E no more. Nice. Is the rear peep commerial or custom?

The stock is black walnut and the ebony schnable is hand carved and scarfed to thin strips of ebony that run back along the top of the forend all the way to the action. See pic #4
I also used pachmayr flush sling swivel mounts and a separate forend mounting screw, instead of the original combination swivel stud/screw. See pic #3
Rick
It's an XS System Ghost Ring and it's made for a 99. No smithing involved at all.

Neat, that looks really nice. I was just thinking of Parkerizing and sporterizing an EG that has been bubba'd. This gives me some other Ideas. Thanks, Les

Thanks Gator

That's a KGI Gunkote epoxy finish on the metal work, and a West System Marine Epoxy finish on the stock. This rifle is for rainy/snowy weather conditions when a scope becomes practicaly useless. (Wisconsin Whitetails on Thankgiving )

That explains that, I see you hunt the midwest also, I hunt Michigan during Thanksgiving with my dad. Too bad it is shotgun only in his area. To use my 99's I would have to go north. Maybe it time Dad and I made a trip to the UP. Les
