I just happen to have one of these 1996 F250 dual tank crew cabs! grin From the manual..... Front is 16.5 gallons and Rear is 18.2 gallons. Don't let a tank run dry as 2 things happen...hard on pump and it will send a code to the trucks brain..ask me how I know.. frown

Both my gauges are original and neither reads the same as far as consumption.

just got back from town a half hour ago...

swithched back to the front tank and did my running in town... was edging the red E line when i hit the gas station... front tank took 14.5 gal., and the rear took exactly 2 gal...

$3.55 per gallon of fuel gets my grump up... $260 for boots is worse...
i did catch the long sleeved carhart t shirts on sale at farm n fleet...
and i had my first coffee today since monday, when they informed me that i had to take a respirator physical (yesterday) for this job... probly kept me from going postal at the gas pump... grin

Gas or diesel?

My manual list a variety of dual tanks for a '93 F250 X-Cab 4x4 diesel.

The only 100% way is to run one down and fill it, then run the other down and fill it.

If you do that once, you can avoid multiples.

If you take the time it takes, it takes less time.

Regular gas is $2.96 here yet. Up 20 cents from a week ago.
