The Chosin Few November to December 1950, Korea.
I'm not one of the Chosin Few but no more remarkable group of Americans ever existed.

1.05" x 20 TPI is Savage Spec. I think Marlin spec is 1.06" x 20 TPI
That said, The switch barrel folks on Marlin Shooters forum are interchanging them, ****BUT**** The chamber depth is bored deeper on Savage barrels, meaning you might bottom out a Savage Barrel on a Marlin bolt, and still have ****too much headspace****.

Face .010" off the breech end of any Savage prefit barrel and you're GTG on the Marlin X series rifles.
The Chosin Few November to December 1950, Korea.
