Does it have English Proof marks?

Gentlemen, I have made a mistake in stating that it is made in England. As I removed the action from the stock to check for proof marks, there under the wood line, on the tang it states made in Yugoslavia. I apologize for this mistake. I have edited the above posts to show this correction. I thank you for your help in setting me straight on the manufacturing site.

BB, Its an easy mistake to make.At least you were honest about it- which many sellers of these rifles are not with regards to their "English" origins. Even the non Whitworth Marked Interarms Mark-X rifles say "Manchester, England" on the receiver. That was just a European corporate headquarters for Interarms, just as Alexandria, Virginia-which is also marked on the rifles. "Whitworth" was simply a trademark used by Interarms to sell rifles. None of the guns were actually made in England. It my knowlege, none of the Whitworths have British proof marks unless they were exported to that country for British resale.

I think all of the actions were made by Zastava. They are very high quality 98 actions. Was this rifle built with a clean barrel or have the sights been removed?
Thanks, Dave
