Found a consistent load that works for my 6-284. I pissed around for way too long and have been contemplating re-barreling or just selling out period.

Soooo, after a long session of studying my past notes and targets, in a last gasp effort, decided I should try some 107 Matchkings.

Suppose I'll have to keep it........or raise the price.......... grin

My set-up at 803 yards

The results from there.....got caught in a little let-up on the far left shot...

Moved back a little more.....to 1036....

Not bad considering the twitchy 5-10 mph quartering away wind.....

I think I'll keep it closer to the front of the safe now......

I've seen some [bleep] fall to a 6mm/284. Pard had one and I watched him hammer a mountain goat at 400 yards, a moose at about 125, a few deer and a B&C 7' black bear at 150 yards.

This is my third and still have one other, heavy brute that it is.

When I was contemplating the re-barrel, I was leaning towards another 6.5-284. Got all the brass, dies, bullets, and reamer to make life simpler. But...

Just too damn hard to ignore the big six spunk......

I have a prediction (fingers on temples):

One of these days you're going to shoot a 5 shot group and only see 4 holes in the paper. A few minutes later you'll get a call from your neighbors asking if your power just went out too....(grin).

Nice setup. I didn't think there was any where left in the state you could strech out that far.
