I unwrapped mine 2 days ago. I shot 50 rounds of home made rounds with 158 grain jacketed flat points. I also made some lead semi wadcutters.

1. With the Semi Wadcutters, When the lever is cocked the little feed ramp doesn't quite come up to the chamber enough to center the rounds. The bullet catches on the bevel and doesn't feed. You can tip and tap the gun and they fall right in.

2. With the jacketed rounds, I did not crimp the first batch solidly and they either fed or hung up on the brass.

I crimped them firmly today and they all fed without issue. Now, what do I do next.

I know that I should be using some kind of lead round. Either a round nose flat point or a truncated cone, flat point. That's what I read on the levergun forums.

Does my experience with loading sound normal, and what would you suggest for bullets?
