I want to have a barrel cut down and re-threaded for standard Beretta Mobile Chokes. Problem is I can't find anyone who will re-thread for a stock Beretta choke. I am not real interested in adding another choke system to the mix, I have enough Beretta/benelli chokes to kill everything that flies, no need to confuse the issue.
I called Mike Orlen and he said there was no tooling in the US to cut Beretta threads. I find this terribly hard to believe. Any thoughts....
"Do you want it "Right", or "Right now"? - always a good question.

you might find it hard to believe but it may be true. if mike or briely dosn't do it then maybe beretta themselves would. the other option is to have a custom reamer and tap made to your specs but i'm sure you won't like the price for a one off job.

Try www.briley.com - Houston, TX. They are just about anything and everything shotgun, especially Chokes. Includes having barrels threaded for choke tubes. A lot depends on the thickness of the barrel for if and what can be done.

Thanks,
I did dig around on Briley's website and found no indication that they thread for Beretta - I will give them a call, just to verify that. I have had Briley put choke tubes in a few of my older guns, they were thin wall type and turned out nice.
I am cutting down a Benelli SBE barrel, with the intent of getting a turkey/home defense/bear gun. So I am not worried about having enough barrel barrel thickness.
It just surprises me that no one else has invested in a reamer and tap for Beretta, seems like you would have the market cornered if you did!

Briley can do Beretta choke tubes. Talked with them today on something else and they comfirmed it.
