I plan on some load work tomorrow with TAC and the 225-gr TSX. I have a longer MRC action and box which allows seating out somewhat. I'll try to report on what the truth-o-meter shows tomorrow some time.

Went to the range today and it was very windy; did not do any shooting for accuracy but with the 225-gr TSX and 62 grs of TAC velocity was in the 2800 fps range. This is with a medium length MRC action in a Kilimanjaro rifle. COL is just over 3". This should be a very nice load for about anything in NA. John Barsness is right-- TAC is the 350's fuel. Will try the 225-gr Nos Part in "America's 9.3x62" next; the one that shoots "Internet groups" wins.

Dang. That is fast. Thanks for the report. Because of mag constraints i am going to run 200's.

Bump. Anyone do more load development? I tried 200 grain Hornady SP's with up to 60 grains of TAC, and was not satisfied with the accuracy in my rifle. I have finally loaded up 200 TSX's, and will try them this week per Barnes. Got loads up to 63 grains.

Hope to do more on this soon. Found an issue with a die & just got that fixed. Still don't have my Wyatt mag box installed.

I went to the range today to try the 200 FB TSX. Shot all at 100 yards. Tried up to 62 grains of TAC, and was satisfied with the results. 60 grains gave about 1.5" group. The 61 grain load opened up, and the 62 grain load gave me this (cell phone pic). I don't have too much time to mess with it anymore, so I am calling it good for this years hunting season (after I return to the range to verify things). Because of mag constraints, I cannot seat the bullet any further out, and I am close to full with 62 grains, so seating deeper can be done, but not by much. Anyway, 62.0 grains of TAC, 200 grain Barnes TSX, Rem brass, Fed GM215M primers, and a COL of 2.814". Rifle is an older Rem Custom Shop Model 7 KS, 20" barrel. According to Quickload, I should have blown something up (81,500 psi), but I had no pressure signs at all. did not check velocity, but according to Barnes, they tested with a 20" barrel too, so maybe 2825 fps? We have a lot of black Bear on the farm that I hunt, and I would love to test the load out on a nice one.

The 200 XFB works wonders on grizzlies, as does the 225 XFB on moose. I would imagine the 200 TSX would be about perfect in the 350.

I can't wait to shoot something with it! Is it OK to say that? <GRIN>

A perfect combo, I think. I'm going to buy a box of these bullets tomorrow and TAC powder and see how they do in mine. My 350 has a 23" pacnor barrel.

I have a long throated 350 with an accomodating magazine being able to seat the base of the 225-gr TSX even with the base of the neck in the case. I worked up to 62 grains of TAC which gave me an average of 2830 fps.
