US Army 1967-1970 94B20 - cook Basic - Ft Gordon, Ga AIT - Ft Lee, Va 46th Field Artillery, Ft Carson, Co. 1968-1969 1st Inf Brigade, 5th Infantry Div (Mech), Vietnam, 1969-1970 The 5th Inf was OPCON to the 3rd Marine Div and operated with them from the Khe Sahn Plains to the DMZ.

Greeley, AK, '80-'81 55D AIT, EOD, Redstone, AL then IndianHead Nav Ord Sta, MD Oct '81 to June '82. Tech Escort, Edgewood Arsenal, MD, mostly TDY all the time, '82-'83. Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah '83-'86.
Got out as E-6 to use Vietnam era GI Bill before it expired Dec '89; use or lose. Rcvd BS.
Utah NG, MP, '89-'90 USAR, 90 (only 6 months waiting to go back on active duty. '90 79R AIT, Ft Ben Harrison Active Reserve as recruiter and medical recruiter, Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah, '90 to 2002 Retired with 24 years total. Continued to work as contract recruiter and medical recruiter, Orem, Provo and Salt Lake City 2002 til March 2009 when O'bama kicked all 500 of us to the curb.
Now, I stay home and take care of my wife on dialysis and 13 yr old son. I'm only 52.

Served: Korea-1954-1955 At K-2 Taegu and K-55 Osan In the 310th Fighter Bomber Squadron With F-86F
1956 went to Gieger Field Spokane WA In Aero Maintenance on F-86 and F-102
Took my discharge and always wondered if I should have stayed in. No jobs for Jet Mechanics as there were no commercial jet aircraft in the Northwest at the time. Even Boeing had a big layoff at the time.
I did well after going back to school after my discharge. Went for Electronics shooling on GI Bill.

When I started this thread I thought there would be more Vets posting, I am going to add two that I know. Both of my Boys, Charlie is a MP stationed at Ft Richardson right now Went to Ft Leonardwood for basic Lenordwood for AIT Ft Benning for Airborne
My youngest son Zack just signed up, He is going to be a 94A Same MOS as I had 20 years ago (27B) Ft Leonardwood basic in Oct Ft Lee VA for AIT Ft Benning for Airborne
These guys are keeping it in the family!
