I'm looking to buy a Beagle pup. I am going down to North central Ark Mid March and was wondering if anybody might have some pups for sale about that time. By the way i'll be comming from Colorado through Ok. If You know of anybody let me know. Like to surprise the wife with a nice dog for her and a rabbit dog for me.

Good idea. I got two deer beagles in October and they are the sweetest dogs. Very rarely do they fuss about anything. Some deer came out into the field behind their pen and they let me know about that though! Just had them out for a ramble....they seem pretty clueless right now about jumping a deer. Hopefully that will change as they mature but even if they don't get it, I'll still have two awesome little buddies. Good luck!

Hey Stemshot,
I've never owned a beagle, but one time in my younger days, 3 of us wanted to go for a one day pheasant hunt.
I didn't have a dog at the time so we took this guy's beagle. That dog tracked those roosters into heavy enough cover where they would hold. One of the funniest things I'd seen with dogs.
You might try doing a search on lycos. I've been able to come up with info for my brittanies.
Good Luck, I'll bet the wife will love that cute little pup!

Yeah I did manage to pick one up in Dora Mo. Nice little male. That dog is a riot. My wife insisted on having him as an indoor dog. I warned her about her cat and a hunting dog. That little dog has a lot of hunt in him. He does pretty well. About 8 months old and loves to chase the rabbits. I wish I had some older trained dogs to run him with but running rabbit dogs isn't real popular up my way. The season should open up in in a month or so. I'll see how he does with the real deal.
